IE 2 What Happens on IELTS Exam Day

IELTS Exam

Do all 4 sections in one day
- Listening(30 mins, 10 mins to transfer answers)
  - You will get test booklets and separate piece of paper that is your answersheet(scantron sheet)
  - You should stay centered and present when you transfer answers. Be careful not to mix up numbers and throws all the other numbers off. But, Having said that, 10 minutes is a long time to transfer your answers.
- Reading(1 hour)
  - Stay in the same seat
- Writing are in the morning (1 hour)
- Long Break + Lunch
  - Depending on the test center, your speaking schedule can be late (you can also have the speaking schedule a week before or a week after)
  - Come prepared. In most cases, you don't know what time your speaking test is until that day.
    - Bring your laptop so that you can relax and watch movies in a coffee shop.
    - Look at your google maps to make sure there is a park nearby and go for a little break.
- Speaking in the afternoon
  - Check what time you have to be there for the speaking test
Usually starts at 9
- Give yourself extra time, plan to arrive 45 minutes ahead of time! You never know what could happen on the road. Also, Test centers may have problems too.
Serious security
- This is for preventing issues with people paying others to take the test for them
- They use a lot of technology such as pictures, finger prints, passwords
- They take all the belongings of the candidates and organize them with nametags. And they put them in a separated room.
- You can ask for bathroom break, But only at specific times, only one person can go. You have to raise your hand to go to the bathroom and give your test booklets. Then, proctors or invigilators will follow you to the bathroom.

What to bring?
- Bring passport! (Your Identification)
- you are allowed to bring some water. It has to be a water bottle without label (rip the label off).
You will sit in your assigned seat, which will have your candiadate's information on the desk (picture and candidate number is on your desk)

IELTS Exam Tips!

Plan out your day ahead of time and be really ready! You don't have to make any other decisions besides how to answer the test questions.
- A week before, think about what you gonna eat for lunch, where you gonna take a walk and where you gonna get coffee in the afternoon
- Choose your outfit the day before!
Give yourself every opportunity to succeed, every possible variable that you can control beforehand.
